Replacement ABB Robot Batteries. 

Qty 2 Lithium Cells + Qty 1 Lithium 3 Cell Pack

They are suitable for replacing batteries from some ABB robot types. ABB typically use one of the larger battery packs in the robot arm itself to back up the SMB (serial measurement board). This can either be a Lithium or Ni-cad type pack. ABB controllers also use two of the single Lithium cells to back up the computer data. These are supplied without connectors so that customers can re-use their original connectors to ensure a perfect fit in different cabinet types.

The single lithium cell is equivalent to ABB parts 4944 026-5 and 3HAB 2038-1. They are used as the memory back up on all ABB robots computer boards from S3 on to S4C. It is best to change the batteries one at a time so that the memory is kept supplied at all times. If you disconnect both with the power off you lose your programs and will have to cold boot the robot!

The Ni-Cad 6 cell pack is equivalent to ABB part 4944 026-4. This is the standard fitment SMB backup battery on all robots from S3 to S4C+. It is also used as a backup on 7th axis SMB boards. (ABB also have the option of 3 or 5 cell lithium SMB batteries which have a longer life when the robot is left on all the time- 5 instead of 3 years, but they do not last as long if the robot is turned off at night or weekends for example.
